Up the coast

Aaron has the week off so we took a mini road trip up north to see the redwoods. On our way to Fern Canyon we stopped off at a beach. The fog cover and overcast sky made for perfect lighting conditions.







We traveled on to Fern Canyon for a nice hike. For those that don't know, Fern Canyon is absolutely gorgeous. We walked down the middle with 20' high walls completely covered in ferns. I guess parts of The Lost World was filmed here.

I don't know what it is about this picture...something seems off to me and I don't like it as much as when I first saw it. But you get the idea of the sides of the canyon.



The boys were excited to see a banana slug along the way.
