So I got a new lens last week. I'm sure I mentioned this. I haven't had many opportunities to play with it yet so I managed to weasel 10 mins out of my walk with Aaron and the boys tonight to take a few pics. I found a giant rock, plopped the boys up there so they couldn't run away and got a few keepers!

Shhhhhhhhhhhh...sleeping babies!

After multiple escapes we switched to toddler beds a few days ago. This afternoon for nap I put them down but they imediately got right back up. I heard them in there playing and laughing for a good hour or so. After a bit it got very quiet so I peeked in and this is what I saw:



They did it again this evening for bed time.

Come into my garden

Alrighty...favorite spot at home and macro...I can work with that. The focal length of my lens is only 28-135mm so I can only get so close in macro...

My favorite place is our garden! Its so big and bushy and full of goodies!

I'm stuck in a slump and can't get out!

I have been in a major slump recently with no desire to take any pictures. Please help me get out of this funk! I would like for you, my faithful readers, to give me a "challenge". What do you want to see me photograph (nothing perverted!)? I'll make it happen by my next entry :)

RIP

Pip the chicken died unexpectantly today from unknown causes at the young age of 3. Looking through the archives I realized that I unfortunately have no recent or decent pictures of her. I vow to capture the flock she left behind. Services will be held tomorrow at noon on Grandma's farm.

RIP Pip! You will be missed!

No pictures today...just my new website! I decided to start portfolio building...which means I need to have a professional looking site to showcase my work and provide information. I know nothing about HTML coding, so it was a lot of trial and error. I am very happy with how it turned out, especially for a free site. There are still a few more things for me to add but for now, here it is!

Help me pick my canvas!

I've been trying for ages to get a good shot of the boys together looking at the camera to print on a canvas. I have a free one coming to me from a vendor I signed up with but the deadline is ending soon. after much determination and a lot of help from Grandma here are the contenders. Which one do you, my faithful readers, think I should use?







This probably would have been the one I chose...but Jerah is out of focus! Its much much more obvious on the larger file. Drat!
