HDR Peacock

I got my camera back today...yeah!! However, it was so late by the time I got home that I couldn't take any pictures. So instead I decided to play around a little in photoshop tonight. When we went on our walk at the arboreum a while back we came across a peacock sitting in a tree. I tried taking some pictures but because the lighting conditions were less the optimal none of them came out any good. Luckily I decided to shoot in RAW for the very first time which let me attempt HDR (high dynamic range) with this photo. I'm pretty happy with the results and feel the picture was saved. A lot of HDR come across cartoony...I feel this is a bit more natural.

I accidentally left my camera at my mom's last night. I can't pick it up until tomorrow night. What am I going to do!?! When I realized my mistake last night the swear words were flying :(

I had the honor of shooting this little cutie when she was just 7 hours old. Now the boys wont have to fight over her sister because there are two to go around!

Playdate at the park

We hung out with Shawn and his mom Steph at the park today. Shawn loved showing off on the slide and the boys enjoyed the tractors.

In the beginning

Urged by Bev and inspired by Shannon, I have decided to start a photo blog! I've tried doing the "real" blog thing in the past but all I did was complain (and I am a BIG complainer). So I decided to make this thing a bit more positive. Some of you may have seem my photos on flickr...here are the stories behind those photos.

One to start off:

We went to the UCD arboretum yesterday. Aaron is going on his yearly boys-only backpacking trip in august so we are getting prepared. Long story short we walked around the entire thing and Margaret was wore out!

Anyway its late! I'll post more tomorrow (I hope).
